Today Volkswagen keeps selling its various new models, and there are still people, who do not know that the company offers various hybrid vehicles.
2013 Volkswagen Jetta is an absolutely new fuel-economy car with much advanced figures on gasoline than even Jetta TDI diesel model. In this very model VW used the smallest model of the engine, which still gives a 150 horsepower with 1.4 liter turbocharged. The model’s engine and transmission together go a rather long way in creating for the model’s electric motor weight, power electronics and battery pack added to VW Jetta.
According to VW, the weight increase is about 221 pounds, and the entire weight is only 3 300 pound. A clutch that adds regenerative braking decouples this engine from drivetrains, if the drive lifts the gas off. The formerly wasted energy is recaptured to recharge the electric battery.
Jetta Hybrid is driven up to 1.2 miles only in electric mode, with 60 mph in 9 seconds. The only problem is that the amount of such hybrids is pretty small.
The models that resemble Jetta are Honda Civic Hybrid or Toyota Prius C. The 1st one has a combined mileage rating of forty-four mph. This gives VW the full right to state that Jetta Hybrid is the best in this class.
