Coda Sedan Is For Those, Who Are Looking For Smaller Battery Options
By kenny on January 12, 2012 in New e cars

On the 9th of January Coda announced its new decision at Detroit Auto Show. Now it aims to offer its customers a choice between 2 absolutely different battery packs.
As for today there exist 2 available variants: a 36 kW hour lithium iron battery pack that includes 150 miles and a 31 kW option that covers 125 miles per one charge. The last pack comes with a warranty in 10 years and 100 000 miles coverage. New Coda Sedan Electric features an active thermal management system, which is designed to make the pack working under maximum conditions.
Though the 2nd package of Coda Sedan is less expensive than the 1st model, it still costs more than Nissan LEAF or Mitsubishi. Regardless of the price, there are customers, who intend to buy this model, as neither of the cars that were mentioned before can travel as far as Coda. Besides, it charging capability is impressive – 80% in 30 minutes.
Still there are skeptics, who doubt that Coda’s design can win many fans. Soon Coda Sedan has to release official EPA range results and crush test versions. That will have a great influence on sales and popularity.
Will Coda Sedan win customers due to lower-priced option? Only time can show.
