Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) planed to make new electric vehicle (EV) lap record on the demanding 20.832km (12.94 miles) Nordschleife on 29 August. For this TMG install high-performance electric power train. And car should update last lap electric vehicle’s record of 9min 1.338secs.

The engineer of company said that the result of this test depend on weather conditions, TMG expects hope that car can get this record on first run; also they have additional days for next runs. The productivity of this two TMG’s electric power train is about 280kW, it’s maximum speed will be approximate 260km/h. And of course, the car’s emission is zero! It will be ideal to power for usual and racing series car. TMG planned to begin sales of its electric power train project in 2012.
